J’den transforms Jurong Lake Dist. as final units are sold
J’den is almost sold out, and the opportunity for you to be one of the early homeowners who can benefit from Jurong Lake District’s revitalization has quickly closed.
JLD’s transformation into Singapore’s largest outside-the-central area business district will begin with the coming appointment of an experienced master developer. It will provide new amenities and facilities for future residents, including businesses, housing, and homes.
J’den, a new residential development in Singapore, is being developed by CapitaLand Development. It’s the development division of CapitaLand Group. CapitaLand’s expert knowledge and extensive experience in the real estate industry has enabled them to develop three and four bedroom units as well as premium ones.
JLD transformation is more than just commercial growth around Jurong east. There will also be urban work, live and play components along Jurong Lake Gardens.
Jurong Lake Gardens, and the surrounding area will have a variety of leisure activities and new recreational facilities to cater for the increasing resident population.
In addition to the 10km lakefront promenade, more than 40% will be reserved for parks. It will start with the redesigned Chinese Garden & Japanese Garden. They are currently under a redevelopment and should be complete later in this year.
Included in the new Chinese Garden are an event garden, an edible area, a bamboo walkway and waterfall corridor as well as an outdoor terrace for moon lanterns. Children can also explore biodiversity and nature on a nature-themed trail.
While the Japanese Garden is introducing a new flower show garden, multi-purpose building, water lily lake, and a blossoming canopy walk. Connecting the Chinese Garden and Japanese Gardens is a pedestrian walkway and boardwalk.
Zaha Hadid Architectures and Architects 61 have designed the new Science Centre, which is another attraction that will be a signature by Lake. Singapore’s biggest living laboratory, the new Science Centre showcases real-life applications of technology and science.
The centre’s new features include an interactive outdoor waterplay space, discovery trails and a larger children’s gallery than the KidsSTOP located in the Science Centre. Outdoor activity plazas and observatories will bring science wonders to younger generations. The Science Centre’s new opening is set for 2027.
J’den’s first residents are going to be able to enjoy this new transformation, and also existing facilities at Jurong Gateway Road like Wag & Wild – Singapore’s most popular dog waterpark. Families can enjoy a wide range of activities as the district develops.
JLD will include several neighbourhoods with amenities, green space, and public transportation nodes within a 10 minute walk, cycle, or by public transport.
JLD features a vast network of pedestrian paths, collectively known as J Walk, which connects various buildings, public transport stops, such MRT stations, and bus routes. This 4km-long route will link J’den up to the Jurong East MRT Interchange and Ng Teng Fong General Hospital.
J’den was one of first buildings added to this network. Once the development has been completed, in 2028 residents will have the ability to walk unhindered to the new Jurong Integrated Transport Hub. It will contain a Community Club, a Sports Center, the Jurong Regional Library along with offices and retail spaces.
JLD’s connectivity will be further enhanced by the addition of two MRT stations.
The Jurong East Metro Station serves currently as a interchange for both the East-West Lines and North-South Lines. In 2028 it will have three MRT lines with the Jurong Region Line.
JLD residents will have direct access to Changi Airport (CBD), Jurong Innovation District and the CBD by the year 2032.
J’den’s remaining three- and fourbedroom units have been sold out. In November, the project’s sale was met with an overwhelming amount of demand. In the time since, buyers have snapped all of the two and one bedroom units. In addition, buyers flocked towards the 3-bedroom units that were well received during the sale launch. This unit type was taken up by more than 90 percent.
Typical three-bedroom units range from 1,141 to 1,184 sq ft, and there are three-bedroom-plus-study premium units of 1,259 sq ft.
While four-bedroom units come in at 1,485 ft2. In addition, the three-bedroom and four bedrooms premium units have a separate lift, are outfitted with high-end MIELE fittings and appliances, as well as unit provisions.
As an example, in the kitchens of four-bedders, there is a countertop island with multiple functions that highlights the large amount of space. The bathroom in the four and three-bedders has a clever toilet bidet.
CapitaLand has added some functional but elevated features to its premium and larger unit sizes. J’den’s construction is a non prefabricated volumetric building (PPVC), which has enabled the developer to take advantage of this. It gives owners more freedom to design their houses according to lifestyle preferences.
A four-bedroom apartment that merges the bedroom next to the master with another bedroom, shows off this flexible design. This design allows for a wide range of possibilities in the adjoining bedroom, such as an adjacent nursery or private study.
It is possible to hold large parties with ease in the spacious living room. All units face north or south, and have views of Jurong Park Gardens or JLD Skyline.
J’den residents can enjoy a range of condominium amenities and facilities that cater to families. As an example, on the 3rd floor the highlights of the amenities deck include a 50m swimming pool with Jacuzzi as well a winding lazy river.
J’den will be the last opportunity homeowners have to take part in an early adoption of a JLD mixed-use project that is affordable. The selling price of residential projects will also increase, as JLD continues to transform.
CapitaLand Development’s historic project has been a success with more than 90% sold.
